History: This 53 year-old patient with high myopia
was referred by his optician because of right visual disturbance
which he described as black blot in the central vision. The vision was 6/12 in the right eye and 6/9 in the left eye. Fundoscopy showed a subretinal haemorrhage beneath the papillomacular bundle. Both eyes shows myopic discs. Fluorescein angiography was performed. Despite masking from subretinal haemorrhage, a small area of classic SRNVM can be seen. No treatment was carried out. The haemorrhage resolved spontaneously and the vision returned to 6/9 (click on the picture for an enlarged view) |
