| History: A 65 year-old hypertensive woman presented with a sudden onset loss of left central vision. Her vision was 6/6 in the right eye and 6/60 in the left eye. Fundoscopy revealed flame-shaped haemorrhages along the temporal inferior vascular arcade and subretinal haemorrhages. The physical signs could indicate branch retinal vein occlusion or a ruptured macroaneurysm. When the haemorrhages resolved, the lower retinal vein was found to be dilated and tortuous indicating it was a branch retinal vein occlusion. | |||
