Cats have been domesticated by human beings for millenniums. Mummies of cats are common in Egyptian pyramids. The eyes in cats range in colours from the golden copper and yellow of the wild cat, to the yellow, green, and blue found in domestic breeds. Like cats themselves, they are exotic and beautiful; a source of both intrigue and fear around the world throughout history. Some breeds of cats especially Japanese Bobtail have different eye colours (heterochromia) but otherwise normal vision and are prized by their owners. |
